Facing North 2023 - Exhibitor Expression of Interest

Facing North is a collaborative arrangement between the Darwin Major Business Group Incorporated (DMBG) and the NT Government. The collaboration demonstrates how Territory business, industry and government work together to accelerate the development of the Northern Territory. The event showcases the Territory as a sophisticated, professional, modern and diverse economy with real opportunities, whilst providing a unique occasion to connect with key government and business decision makers.
The inaugural event was held in September 2017 and following its success, Facing North was held annually from 2017 to 2019 prior to the global pandemic.
Expressions of interest are invited from local business and industry to exhibit at Facing North 2023.
The opportunity
The showcase event will be held from 6pm - 8.30pm, Wednesday 2 August 2023, in the Great Hall, Australian Parliament House, Canberra.
The event attracts over 400 guests and delegates including Federal and Northern Territory Parliamentarians, senior members of Federal and Northern Territory governments and senior business and industry leaders. Guests will experience Territory talent and be treated to a specially created menu designed to showcase Northerrn Territory produce.
Facing North presents an opportunity to showcase your business / industry in a unique environment, the meeting place of the Parliament of Australia in the capital of Australia. Exhibitors will get the opportunity to:
- build new and important business contacts
- connect with influential key decision makers from Federal and Northern Territory governments and industry
- connect and network with other NT businesses.
Get involved
Opportunities are available to attend and exhibit your product, services or industry at Facing North 2023. Exhibitors will be encouraged to display a Terrritory feel and align with the event theming.
The cost to exhibit is $750 and includes:
- entry to the Great Hall Reception and Showcase for one (1) exhibitor
- exhibitor stand with your company / organisation name displayed
- design and production of exhibitor stand backdrop (specifications to be confirmed closer to the event)
- table and chair.
Important information
- Exhibitors will be required to bring all goods / items to be displayed with them on the evening of the event.
- Any goods / items to be displayed within the exhibit should be compact enough to pass through the airport type security scanner at the entrance to Parliament House.
- Arrangements for the freight and storage of goods to Canberra can be discussed with the professional conference organiser.
- If larger display items or goods are to be delivered into Parliament House, this must be coordinated with the professional conference organiser and adhere to Parliament House's strict loading dock guidelines.
- Any additional booth arrangements or requirements can be organised through the professional conference organiser upon approval of your EOI and are at your own expense.
- Expenses to attend Facing North 2023 such as airfares, accommodation, personal expenses and freight are not included in the cost to exhibit and are the responsibility of the exhibitor.
How to express your interest
There are a limited number of opportunities available to exhibit at Facing North 2023. If you are interested in participating as an exhibitor please submit the exhibitor EOI, applications will be assessed on the uniqueness and suitability of the product and how it showcases the very best of the Territory. . Exhibitor registration and payment closes Friday 30 June 2023.
